Our Story
Washington Family Reunion
Every few years, we do what our people have always done — we come back together. We find each other across cities and states, we set tables longer than any one house can hold, and we remember who we are when we remember where we come from.
This year we gather in Atlanta, the city where three generations of Washingtons have built lives, raised children, and planted roots. We invite every branch of this family — the ones who grew up together and the ones just learning each other's names — to join us for three days of food, laughter, prayer, and memory.

Opening Prayer & Toast
Led by Elder James Washington. We begin where we always begin — together.
Saturday, July 19
Family Olympics
Friendly competition across generations. Teams drafted Friday night.
The Big Cookout
The main event. Pulled pork, ribs, sides brought by every branch of the family.
Photo Session
Formal family portraits — please wear your reunion shirts.
Evening Banquet & Awards
Dinner, family history presentation, and the annual Washington Excellence awards.
Sunday, July 20
Sunday Morning Service
Non-denominational family worship service led by the family.
Brunch & Farewells
Final meal together before we part ways until next time.
Getting Here
Washington Family Reunion Travel & Lodging
Flying In
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is 20 minutes from the venue. We recommend arriving Friday before 4 PM to beat traffic.
Driving
Ample free parking at the venue. For those driving from out of town, I-285 and I-20 are your main corridors. Allow extra time on Friday afternoon.
Staying Over
We have a room block at the Marriott Atlanta Perimeter Center at a discounted family rate. Use code WASH2026 when booking. Cut-off date: July 1.
